Update from the Desert
Hey, Everyone! So sorry that we have not kept up with posting, but the internet here is really spotty. :)
We have been having an amazing time on our trip so far! The first leg of our journey here in North Africa was to put a sound system into a building that will ultimately end up being the first building in the country where evangelical brothers and sisters can meet! It has gone really well, and we were able to fire it up after only about three days in country. When we first started playing music through it, the workers here were so excited that they started dancing! Thanks to those who donated the system and sent it over on a ship earlier in the month, we were able to bless many people here!
It has been great getting to know some of the local people here. The second part of our journey was to lead a prayer gathering of workers. We led them in times of singing to our Lord, speaking words of encouragement from the Book, and taking care of their children so that the parents could be refreshed and renewed during this time. Our Father is doing many amazing things among His people! There are lots of challenges that the workers here face every day, so to have time set aside to gather and pray and encourage each other is so important, and to be able to have a space where they can meet is really a huge blessing. :) They do not yet have permission to meet in this space every week, but making this facility ready for groups to meet is a major step forward for them. Our next step is to begin to prepare for the team conference next week in the second country we're visiting, so please pray that things go smoothly until that time. Please ask the Father to use us to encourage and support and bless each person we meet, and that our lives would gain new focus through this time, as well. Thanks for your support!
