A Chiang Mai Start with a Cleveland Finish

If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:11

Today we started off heading downtown to the market to do some shopping. This isn't only tourist shopping, this was to pick up the items we promised to the girls. Socks and shoes and undergarments were the priority on the list. We also were able to purchase a washing machine and an Apple laptop for the girls. One Thai bhat is equal to $0.032 U.S. dollars. This means that we get a lot more for our money here in Thailand. The house mother, Pi Beau, was so happy that she was able to provide these items to the girls. They will receive these items tomorrow when we also give the girls their "Christmas" gifts.

The shopping experience was unique. We went to a large market that was crowded and hot. Traffic was insane and we were all glad we have a driver!

In the evening we went to a restaurant called Duke's. It was American cuisine and welcomed by many in the group. A burger, fries, ribs and pizza were a treat after having rice daily for 5 days. The waiter seated us near windows, but there was a section of wall that had a photo on it. Some of us recognized the photo....

This is Jack's Video Sports Bar, located at 6608 Cedar Ave in Cleveland! Right next to us on the wall of the restaurant in Chiang Mai, Thailand. How cool was that? A little bit of home to round out our American meal.
