The Return Home

Whole Gang

And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you - you of little faith? So do not worry, saying “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Matthew 6:28-34

Today is our last day here in Thailand. We were able to spend 4 hours with the girls today and it was bittersweet. We enjoyed that time playing volleyball, playing cards, puzzles and even showing them how to ride a bike! These moments were ones we cherished because they were the final ones we had to spare with them. We had lunch with the girls and exchanged Facebook information. We all fell in love with these children of God.

Some of the team left that afternoon to pursue personal trips, others had some time to pack and settle down from the emotional departure. We picked up one of the girls who was coming back to the states with us and we went to the night market nearest the airport. This was our last opportunity to try exotic food (like the worms in the video!) and to soak in the culture.

Not all of us were this brave!

We caught the red-eye to South Korea and had an uneventful ride home. Nuna's first plane ride was a LONG one, but we enjoyed being the ones to share it with her. Thanks to all of our sponsors and those who have supported us.

We've already talked about going again in 2021. Come have some dessert, hear more and see more photos about this trip on Sunday, March 31st at 7:15 pm in Room 10 at Grace Church.
