What an amazing day in CLE!  Our mission team was blessed to see the fingerprints of God everywhere we served today.

We began our day studying the letter of 1 John and God’s call for each of us to demonstrate the Love of Christ with words AND actions.

Then we broke into two teams to clean and serve lunch at St. Herman’s and food distribution at Garden Valley Neighborhood Center.    In the afternoon, the guys visited homeless men at the City Mission Crossroads while the ladies enjoyed a birthday party with moms and children at Haven Home.  Finally, we helped serve dinner at St. Herman’s and worked at St. Malachi.

At all of these wonderful ministries, we met dedicated servants of Christ who pour out the love of Jesus to the people of Cleveland on a daily basis.  We had the honor to serve alongside these committed servants and were blessed to meet and talk with many of God’s children struggling with homelessness, hunger and addiction.

As the team reflected on our day of serving CLE, many amazing stories and tears were shared.  Each member recounted specific instances of seeing the Lord’s hand at work.  It became very clear Jesus met us at each site and blessed both the servants and the served.

What an amazing and merciful Lord we have the privilege to SERVE!  When we are obedient to His Call to Love, everyone is BLESSED!

A special thanks to Chuck, Doreen and Bethany for their outstanding preparation and leadership of the blessed mission trip to the LAND!

May our Lord Bless Worship tomorrow!

In Christ,

Chuck, Doreen, Bethany, Bob, Brian, Tammy, George, Diane, Don, Loretta,  Renee, Mara, Rick, Linda, Heather and Greg
