Day 10 Japan mission - Day 4 Project Yachiyo

Today, we again walk to work. Here are some sights from our walk

We knew that the day would be for finishing projects. The upstairs rooms are nearly done

Here Kamila and Ilka are asked to read a story to the children in English. A great time was had by all as we saw God working. On this visit, three new visitors beside our team members were there. In this picture only one new visitor is seen (to the right of Kamila) as the others visitors had not yet arrived - one visitor mother and child saw the Yachiyo Alliance Missions Church website and came to the reading time and another new visitor is a friend of the Nagumos, a nonbeliever who works as a tour guide in Tokyo.

Upstairs restroom/utility

Yoko and Ilka take a picture beside stainless steel that Yoko and her husband donated to the church. She is amazed about how clean it is now.

Yoko and Kamila display the pastries that Yoko brought for the afternoon snacks for the team

Land is scarce in Japan. Parking in Japan is very expensive. Some attending church pay the equivalent of $15 to park. The church is able to use a lot across the street from it

There is a parking lot next to the church which Pastor Nagumo would like to pay for the church to use. However, the doctor office who owns it has presently refused for the church to use. Please pray that God would provide a way for the Yachiyo Alliance Missions Church to use the below lot for parking

The final Yachiyo Alliance Missions Church project complete. The

third floor of the building. At one time the Church rented the 3rd floor of the building for service, providence of God took them to another church location but brought the church back to the current location where they no longer rent but own the entire building.

The first floor comprises the sanctuary, a kitchen, a restroom, a storage closet and a back room that has the printer and could possibly be used as a office.

The second floor is the children's area and was used for the mother children's event seen above and tutoring on t. The second floor comprises also a restroom, a kitchen sink and a washing machine. The missions team installed flooring in the restroom and kitchen/laundry area.

The third floor is where the team did a complete renovation except for the restroom, kitchen sink area. The team created two rooms by building the walls, painting the walls and installing flooring. They also organized a third floor storage room which allowed Pastor Nagumo to clear some clutter from the first floor.

The church plans to use the third floor for many purposes. Don Schaeffer mentioned that Pastor Nagumo will sale christian resources which are not easily obtained in Japan.

After completing the work of the Yachiyo Church project for the day a couple of days sooner than expected, the team went to Cow Bell for dinner

Then dessert
